Trek to the Home of the Dalai Lama
Join this unique trekking challenge to the home of the Dalai Lama and help raise funds for Plan’s vital work.
This magnificent 14-day challenge is a chance to experience the real India, from lively Delhi to spiritual Dharamsala, the home of the Dalai Lama. The expedition includes trekking through the foothills of the Himalayas, the world’s highest mountain range. There’s even a visit to the stunning Taj Mahal – a fitting finale to an amazing challenge.
At Dharmasala your group will be granted a once in a lifetime chance to meet His Holiness the Dalai Lama (subject to His Holinesses’ commitments).
The trek takes in largely pristine and unspoilt areas and follows the River Uhl through rhododendron and evergreen forests. During this trek you will take in the many of the sights of India including forts, temples, Buddhist monasteries and the world famous Taj Mahal.
